The Philippines was always a country that I would like to visit but never thought I would visit so soon.
While I was in Malaysia, a friend that I met In Bali told me she was in the Philippines and I just bought the tickets and I went!

I was in El Nido (12 days), Port Barton (2 days) and in Malapascua Island (5 days) between January and February 2019.

I will leave here the path I made for those interested:

  1. Flight from Kuala Lumpur to Manila
  2. Flight from Manila to Puerto Princesa
  3. Bus from Puerto Princesa to El Nido
  4. Van from El Nido to Port Barton
  5. Van from Port Barton to Puerto Princesa
  6. Flight from Puerto Princesa to Cebu
  7. Bus from Cebu to Malapascua Island
  8. Bus from Malapascua Island to Cebu

All the way to get the Philippines was probably one of the most tiring I’ve done but all worth it when I arrived.
The Philippines really have the most beautiful and paradisiacal beaches with the bluest waters I have ever been. Any Island you choose to visit will always be a good option.

The Philippines have more than 7000 islands and if you really want to visit some islands you will spend money moving around the islands (by plane, by boat, by bus, or whatever) and doing tours between the small Islands (for example in El Nido).

El Nido was the place that I liked it most and I use to recommend for those who are going to the Philippines. If you are going there I recommend doing 1 or 2 tours once included activities like canoeing and snorkeling and it is very worthwhile (tour prices are the same all around).

Port Barton is a quiet place but also paradisiacal. If you are planning to go to Port Barton I recommend to stay 1 or 2 nights and do a tour around the islands.

Regarding Malapascua Island, once it is not so frequented by tourists yet, I loved it. In this Island, I saw the most beautiful sunsets ever and the most starry sky ever, really magical! This Island is very popular between the divers once it is possible to see the famous “Thresher Sharks”.
I did snorkeling here and worth it for the corals and lil fishes.

I also recommend other Islands that I have not been but also recommend to visit: Coron, Siargao and Boracay.
